- In uncontrolled trials, vitamin A eye drops (Viva Eyedrops; Vision Pharmaceuticals; 1-800-442-6789) were effective in the great majority of patients with dry eyes. Usual dosage: 1-2 drops in each eye, 2-3 times per day for 30 days, or as needed.
- Treatment for 2 weeks to 3 months with:
Evening primrose oil (3 gm/day),
Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6)(50 mg/day), and
Vitamin C (powdered) (2-3 gm/day)
was frequently effective in patients with Sicca Syndrome, some of whom had Sjogren's syndrome.
